Affinity Photo with Siddique Hussain 14th November

On Monday 14th November Siddique Hussain will be presenting a ‘Digital Skills’ workshop on using “Affinity Photo”  editing software . The meeting will be open at 7.30pm and the talk begins  at 8.00pm

Book your Ticket HERE

Please Note, This session is NOT being presented by the clubs Streaming system
The session is aimed at beginners to the Affinity Program but not necessarily beginners to PCs or editing using other more established software. In my experience there are still a lot of photographers out there who do not have the fundamental understanding of how ‘layers’ work and to easily make adjustments to an image or saving an image in a given file type, format, size or resolution etc.
The workshop is called:
Getting to Know Affinity Photo
  • Why use Affinity Photo?
  • How and where to get it from?
  • How does the license work?
  • Setting up and creating custom settings
  • A tour of the tools
  • A few everyday editing tasks

This workshop will be presented to your home via a video ‘Zoom’ link. This link will be available shortly but it will require you to order a ticket and pay a fee of £3  via this website.

Printing masterclass with David lowe

Next Thursday starting at 4pm Dave Lowe and Graham Hales will be presenting the first part of a printing course:

The intention is to help members new to printing set up their computer so they can confidently use the club’s Canon A3 printer or set up their own printer and produce colour and mono prints with the minimum of effort.
In this first session we will cover:
How to Calibrate your monitor
Generic and Custom paper profiles
Using the Adobe ACPU (Adobe Color Printer Utility) to a make a custom profile chart
Photoshop/Lightroom printer driver settings (Affinity settings will be covered later)
Installing paper profiles on a PC or MAC
Making a print.

Those attending will then be able to stay on to watch the evenings lecture. Please support Dave & Graham if you are interested in making prints

It will NOT be streamed or zoomed.

I will be followed by practical printing sessions on the club printer on a follow up session
