MFIAP Awards (International Federation of Photographic Art)

FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art, respecively Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique) Awards are largely based on exhibition successes. The exception is the Maitre de la Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (MFIAP), which is awarded based on a submitted panel of images if the photographer has held an EFIAP distinction for more than 3 years.

FIAP awards are as follows:

  • AFIAP & EFIAP: Gained by having a specified number of acceptances (and awards for EFIAP) in International Exhibitions
  • EFIAP (Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum, denoted by /b, /s, /g and /p): Available to those who have held the EFIAP distinction for at least 12 months and have gained the required number of additional acceptances and awards in International exhibitions.
  • EFIAP (Diamond 1, 2 and 3, denoted as /d1, /d2 and /d3): A high number of additional acceptances and specified number of awards in addition to those required for EFIAP Platinum.
  • MFIAP: Open to those who have held EFIAP distinction for over 3 years. A set of 20 Prints on a cohesive theme is required of the highest quality.
