On Thursday 3rd July Libby Smith MPAGB EFIAP HonPAGB HonSPF will be demonstrating how she gets inspiration for her many photography projects. Libby will be live in the club room with SPS members and guests alike.
Libby has been taking photographs since the late 60s and initially used her photography as a base to sketch or paint from. This progressed into a love of printing. She joined Carluke Camera Club in 1993, and photography and printing were to become a passion and the journey into competitive photography and International Exhibitions began.
The discovery of Photoshop and digital printing in 1997 fuelled the obsession with her producing a fairly eclectic mix of subjects and styles over the years, influenced by her art background and love of early darkroom printing, coupled with a love of creating composites.
Almost as much as creating images, Libby enjoys seeing images and meeting people within the photographic community, so judging, lecturing, running workshops, working at, or organising some photographic event or another, has been a way of life. For over 25 years Libby has been an Office Bearer of the SPF, and for most of that time a member of the Scottish Salon committee and PAGB executive.

Starts at 8pm in the club room and on stream
