There be Dragons and Topkapl Palace with Mark & Judy Buckley-Sharp

On Thursday 9th July Smethwick Photographic Society will be welcoming an exciting new presence to our stage. In fact not one but two Buckley-Sharps. Mark and Judy Buckley-Sharp will giving their very unique take on travelling and photographing Turkey.

Mark Buckley-Sharp ARPS CPAGB HonPAGB and Judy Buckley-Sharp LRPS CPAGB APAGB began visiting Turkiye more than thirty years ago and have been studying its history, geography, culture and language ever since. Their image collection has developed to support and illustrate their research, leading to a series of presentations covering Istanbul, Lykia and Cappadocia. These have been delivered, mostly to camera clubs, on over one hundred and fifty occasions.

Tourists who visit Turkiye for rest and relaxation are missing so much. Mark and Judy’s primary aim is to inform and educate, encouraging those who visit Turkiye to enrich their journey.

The presentation will be in two parts, part one will cover ‘Dragons’ followed by the second which will cover ‘Turkiye and Topkapl Palace’.

Here’s a selection of what we can expect from Judy & Mark:
