Thursday 14th May Smethwick Photographic Society will be hosting the truly extraordinary people photographer Richard Egan.
Richard, based in Yorkshire will be showcasing his varied people portfolio and sharing his insights into techniques employed.
With more than forty years of technical expertise and a keen eye for the ‘decisive moment’, Richard Egan has become a leading figure in photography.
Richard believes that a truly great photograph is a blend of skill, foresight and a touch of luck. He is well-known for his ability for handling natural light and shooting in varied settings, which turns the usual nude and human studies of geometry and mood into something truly unique.
In this presentation, Richard will share the technical side of people photography, from choosing the perfect location and guiding models to the post-production tricks that make his ideas come alive.
